Odom Elementary is a unique Austin public school and the only remaining school-wide Spanish/English Dual Language campus in AISD following last year’s school consolidations. Our program serves many emergent bilingual students whose first language is Spanish and whose families may speak little or no English at home. Learning in both languages helps our students thrive academically while allowing them to continue learning and communicating in the language they know at home.

Because Odom is an unzoned school, our nearly 500 students and their families come from communities across Austin. Our campus playground is also a designated community park, connecting Odom to many families throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

Our PTA funds programs and resources that go beyond the school budget, including field trips and enrichment programs, teacher grants, family and school events, and teacher and staff appreciation. The support of local businesses makes these opportunities possible and directly benefits our students and families.
